We would like to register our appreciation for supporting our literary endeavors throughout the year and to assure you that Soma’s well stocked Bookshop, atmospheric Cafe and our Space that’s ideal for reading and discussing, will always be open for you – readers and lovers of literature. In spite of this year being very challenging for us, we are still, as always, committed to seeing the Tanzanian society transforming into an informed society that values knowledge, creativity and independent thinking. Therefore our operational plan for 2017 abounds with active readers clubs’ meetings for interactive discussions, exciting and educating children’s programs, and our flagship event – Andika na Soma writing competition, which will culminate in September during Soma’s International Literary Festival. There are, also, several workshops and seminars lined-up for grooming budding writers and frequent events for storytellers voices to be heard. Our success in promoting readership in Tanzania depends so much on your support and active participation in Soma’s activities. We hope for your continuous support in 2017.
